After his successful career as coach of the Greek national rowing team, Foti Chalkidis studied leisure and educational activities in Germany. For more than 20 years, he had been working in the field of ambulatory and stationary disabled assistance.

At that time, he had the idea to build a wheelchair-accessible hotel, in which every guest could enjoy a wholesome holiday, notwithstanding his or her handicaps. He started to create a place, where culture enthusiasts could get to know his homeland, a beautiful region with great potential!

Foti, his wife Sofia and their son Pano founded the Villa Sevasti.
